KUL students for Europe - go vote on June 9
The John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin students from Spain, the Netherlands, Ukraine, the US and Poland have made a promotional video encouraging participation in the democratic elections to the European Parliament, which will be held on June 9. "We appreciate the opportunity to study in Poland, a European country." - the young people emphasize.
The main characters of the video are Ángel, Robert, Emil, Alexander, Yurii, and Julia, all students at the Catholic University of Lublin, pursuing various fields of study such as Dutch philology, Spanish philology, international relations, and Italian studies. The producers of the recording, Adam Szymanski and Julia Sroczyk, are employees of the Academy of Modern Media and Communication at the Catholic University of Lublin and are also fourth-year journalism students.
What do they all have in common? They are conscious, free individuals who, in a free Europe, with the support of university staff, engage in projects that open doors to the world. 'These include Erasmus+ programs and international exchanges, which offer numerous opportunities to make connections and shape a young person's future career,' says Monika Stojowska, the deputy spokeswoman for the Catholic University of Lublin.
The John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin is the only Polish university to be a communication partner of the European Parliament. In March 2024, the Catholic University of Lublin hosted a meeting with representatives from the EP office in Poland. This was followed by our participation in the Leadership Academy in Brussels, where 250 people from over 20 countries, including Finland, Greece, Hungary, Estonia, Sweden, and Poland, gathered for a two-day convention. An agreement with the European Parliament was concluded on joint activities related to promoting democratic involvement in the European Union. Representing the Catholic University of Lublin, Dr. Habil. Beata Piskorska, Prof. KUL, Vice-Rector for Students, Doctoral Students and Development, signed the agreement in Brussels.
Let's go to the elections together. On June 9, our votes matter. #UseYourVote
