Since I received my school-leaving certificate from 1st Juliusz Słowacki Memorial Secondary School in Czestochowa (Poland), I have been connected with the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin where I have studied both Polish philology and philosophy. In 1996 I defended my doctor's degree on the basis of the thesis The Voice of Truth and Conscience. The Church in Cyprian Norwid's Works (Wrocław 1998). The professor conferring the degree was Stefan Sawicki. The book was awarded by the Foundation for Polish Studies.
I was appointed as an associate professor in 2010; it was based on the scholar output as well as on the work The Writer and Confessor. In the circle of Roman Brandstaetter's Output (Lublin, 2009) (both titles at the Department of Humanistic Studies at John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin).
I am a member of the Roman Brandstaetter Memorial Society, the Society of Translators of Literature, the Scientific Society of the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin, the Polish Society for Culture Studies. I am also a co-founder and president the Society for Research Initiatives (to support cooperation between humanistic and business).
I am married and I have two children.
I like good books, travelling and swimming.
My motto for life comes from the Bible: Cast all your worries upon him because he cares for you (1 Peter 5:7).
