The objective of the Department of Research Projects at the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin is to contribute to the development of science and research activities, both globally and locally. Therefore, it aims at enabling the researchers at all stages of their scientific career to find relevant modes of realizations of their research projects and offers suport in acquiring  funding to conduct research and finanse dissemination of the research results either with the government subsidy or through international and national grants or scholarships.

 

The main tasks of the Department comprise:

• assisting researchers, PhD students and students in application procedures, guidance in preparation of research projects, and processing of grant applications
• informing about open grant competitions and new or upcoming research funding opportunities
• preparation and processing of grant agreements
• supervision of project implementation in compliance with the signed agreement and project documentation
• assistance in the selection processes of project team members
• assistance in purchase and order procedures
• verification of costs and expenditures, also in terms of the project disbursement correctness, initiation and supervision of financial operations, project accounting
• providing resources for the development of infrastructure enabling and supporting research within projects financed with external funds
• preparation of partial and final reports on the project implementation
• reporting on the Department and University outcomes including research performance and financing
