Catholic University of Lublin`s success in prestigious ranking of world universities

The John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin was the only university from Lublin to make it to the list of the world's best universities, according to the prestigious Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings. This compilation evaluates universities in terms of their achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

"This is a prestigious and distinguished recognition for the Catholic University of Lublin for several reasons. First of all, you can't apply to this ranking on your own. The organizing institution noticed the Catholic University of Lublin and selected us as a university that meets the ranking criteria. We were rated very highly as a socially useful university from the perspective of the United Nations," stresses Professor Beata Piskorska, the Catholic University of Lublin's vice-rector for students, doctoral students, and development.

This is the sixth edition of the ranking. The John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin was ranked between 1201-1500, with the authors evaluating 2,152 universities from 125 countries/regions. These universities are distinguished by their commitment to solving the world's most pressing challenges, including those related to environmental sustainability and economic growth. The ranking took into account, among other things, the level of teaching, the quality of research, and the international prospects of the universities.
