1). evaluation of social, political and economic processes and phenomena in the perspective of the teaching of the Catholic Church and in an ecumenical perspective;

2). doctrinal analysis and evaluation of published content (including pastoral and formation materials and religious education textbooks) in terms of conformity with the teaching of the Catholic Church;

3). analysis of proposed legal solutions and medical procedures in the moral (including bioethical) perspective;

4). expertise in other areas of public life insofar as they relate to the public presence of religion and the activities of the Church.
