Equipment:
- The Agilent 1290 Infinity Binary liquid chromatography system coupled with a Triple Quadrupole tandem mass analyser (Agilent LC-QQQ6460) equipped with an electrospray ion source (Agilent Jet Stream) - allows for quantitative and qualitative analysis of many organic compunds, simultaneously in a short time in a complex sample matrix.
- Analytical liquid chromatograph coupled with DAD detector (Agilent 1200) and tandem quadrupole time of flight mass spectrometer (Agilent LC-Q/TOF 6538)- the system is used for chromatographic separation and quantitative analysis of a wide range of organic componds absorbing UV light (detection with the DAD detector) and for complex qualitative analysis using a high-resolution mass detector -Q/TOF by monitoring the generated ions. The Q/TOF detector primarily provides information on the exact mass of the compund and its content in the sample.
- Liquid chromatograph (Agilent 1200) coupled with DAD detector and single quadrupole mass analyser (Agilent LC-Q 6120) facilitates simultaneous quantitative analysis of multiple organic compunds in complex samples after chromatographic separation.
- Gas chromatograph (Agilent Technologies 7890B) coupled with a triple quadrupole tandem, mass spectrometer (Agilent Technologies 7000C) equipped with an SPME, system dedicated to the identification and quantification of volatile substances in samples with different matrix compositions.
- Semi-preparative liquid chromatograph with UV-VIS detector and fraction collector (Agilent 1200), system designed for separation of organic compounds mixtures and collection of individual pure substance fractions. Designed for purification of chemical substance standards, extraction of desired substances from plants, biological material, natural products and food.
- MALDI TOF/TOF mass spectrometer (Brucker UltraXtreme #8259900), system uses laser energy to ionise the sample and create ions from large molecules with minimal fragmentation. System designed for identification and analysis of biomolecules (biopolymers such as DNA, proteins, peptides, sugars) and high-mass organic molecules (including polymers).
- Bio-Rad MiniProtean Tetra Cell system with MiniTrans Blot transfer module - a system for protein electrophoresis and immunoblotting analysis (Western blotting). Designed for the analysis of proteins and sugars.
- Bio-Rad PROTEAN II xi Cell - module for protein separation in large polyacrylamide gels- especially useful for complex protein mixture, e. g. from rich samples such as cell lysates, tissue extracts.
- Bio-Rad Protean i12 IEF Cell system - dedicated to isoelectric focusing of proteins (their fractionaction depending on isoelectric point) on pH gradient gel strips. Used for a detailed characterisation and identification of proteins or isolation of individual molecules for mass analysis in mass spectrometry.
- ASE N350 Thermo Scientific Dionex automated liquid extraction system - designed for the extraction of solid samples and liquids. It uses solvents under increased temperature and pressure. It allows for more efficient extraction and reduction of time.
- Gilson ASPEC GX271 automated solid phase extraction - the system allows for isolation/purification/concentration of samples on SPE (Solid Phase Extraction) columns. Widely used for sample preparation prior to chromatographic analysis.
- Genevac EZ-2 Elite Personal Evaporator - a vacuum apparatus for evaporating solvent excess and concentrating liquid samples.
- Stuart SBH130D/3 thermoblock - an apparatus for gentle evaporation of solvent form liquid samples in a stream of nitrogen.
