We know the vice-rectors for the 2024-2028 term

Prof. Michał Zembala has been appointed Vice-Rector of the Catholic University of Lublin for Clinical Affairs and Medical Research Development. The renowned cardiac surgeon and transplantologist will assume his new role on September 1.
This appointment marks just one of several upcoming changes within the Rector's College at the Catholic University of Lublin. By the decision of Rev. Prof. Mirosław Kalinowski, Rev. Dr. Piotr Wiśniewski, a Professor at the Catholic University of Lublin, will also join the top leadership team, focusing on the university's mission.

"What does the new Vice-Rector intend to focus on?" "The mission of any university, especially a Catholic one, is not only to shape the intellectual attitudes of young people and impart knowledge to them, but also their spiritual formation, and in such a spirit I would also like to serve as Vice-Rector," explains Rev. Prof. Piotr Wiśniewski.

Rev. Prof. Wiśniewski has been affiliated with the Catholic University of Lublin for over ten years. He serves as Director of the Institute of Art Sciences and heads the Department of Research on Religious Monody and Polyphony. With a background in musicology, his scholarly interests include Gregorian chant, medieval music, and music-liturgical manuscripts. Rev. Prof. Wiśniewski is also a member of the Association of Polish Church Musicians, among other professional affiliations.

Dr. Beata Piskorska, a Professor at the Catholic University of Lublin and currently Vice-Rector for Students, Doctoral Students, and Development, will continue her tenure in the Rector's College. In her new term, alongside student affairs, she will assume responsibility for issues related to the internationalization of the Catholic University of Lublin.

Until the end of August, the Rector's College of the Catholic University of Lublin will remain in its current composition. The changes will come into effect on September 1.

"New challenges, new people. I believe the 2024-2028 term will be a period of further growth for our university," concludes Rev. Prof. Mirosław Kalinowski.
